Just looking at that. Mp38 or Mp40.
I know the Syrians had some Panzer IVs back in the day but that's a proper museum piece.
Talking about German kit, the knocked out Leopard is Turkish. One of the ones destroyed by ISIS.

I remember looking through pictures of the weapons the FSA surrendered, it's obvious they had StG-44, AKs and M16s

Don't forget it was a French colony. They probaly appeared from an old store for mobilising reservists. Used to see a lot of weird and wonderful stuff like that in the Balkans back in the day.

HTS launch a huge offensive in northern Hama taking number of villages, Russian and Syrian air forces are pounding their supply routes, depots, armored vehicles etc., when will SAA reinforcements arrive? who knows, they're still dealing with ISIS cells in the south and Syrian desert.
