General Manoj Pande COAS visited Army Air Defence College, Gopalpur and was briefed on state-of-the-art training infrastructure and modern training methodologies adopted. COAS was also briefed on the Ground Based Air Defence Weapon Systems GBADWS, Air Surveillance Radars, Air Defence Missiles & Guns. While interacting with the Army Air Defence College faculty, students & the under-training AD Gunners, including Agniveers, the COAS commended them for their dedication & professionalism.

Exercise Desert Cyclone 2024
The Joint Military Exercise "Desert Cyclone" between India & UAE culminated with the validation training in Rajasthan. The exercise facilitated synergy in conduct of joint tactical operations and strengthened the understanding & interoperability between the two Armed Forces.

Indian Navy's Guided missile destroyer, INS Visakhapatnam, deployed in the Gulf of Aden responded to a distress call from MV Marlin Luanda on the night of 26 Jan 24. The fire fighting efforts onboard the distressed Merchant Vessel is being augmented by the NBCD team along with firefighting equipment, deployed by INS Visakhapatnam to assist the crew onboard the MV. The MV has 22 Indian & 01 Bangladeshi crew onboard.

Indian Navy's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team onboard the Offshore Patrol Vessel INS Sunayna, embarked MV Genco Picardy, off Kochi, 24 Jan 24. The EOD team undertook a thorough examination of the damaged area & rendered the MV safe for port entry. Indian Navy remains committed towards safety of merchant shipping & seafarers transiting in the IOR.
 
Lead ship of the class, frigate INS Sahyadri (F49) taken by a French Navy Falcon 20 MPA during the Kakadu 2018 joint exercise near the Port of Darwin, Australia. The drill was to see if MPAs could locate ships at sea.
