The sixth edition of the Japan - India Maritime Exercise 2022, JIMEX 22 hosted by the Indian Navy concluded in the Bay of Bengal with the two sides bidding farewell to each other with a customary steam past on 17 September 2022.

ICG ship Samarth joined under the operational command of ICG Dist HQ-4 (Kerala & Mahe), Kochi. ICGS Samarth is a 105 Meter long ship & can attain maximum speed of 23 knots (approx 43 Kmph).The ship has modern surveillance system and has the power to contain oil spill in the sea.

HSL set to launch two diving support vessels on 22 September 2022. Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of Naval Staff, Indian Navy is gracing the event. At 8800Ton the ships are bigger than Corvettes Frigate and Destroyer class ships.
