William Lewen GLYN. Lieutenant, 1st Dorsetshire Regiment. Born 14 December 1867 to Reverend, Sir George Lewen Glyn, Bart of Ewell Surrey and Henrietta Amelia Glyn, his cousin. Educated at Cheam School and Winchester and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. 1871 he was residing with his parents and siblings at Ewell Rectory, Surrey.
Died in Malta 13 August 1888 aged 20 years of meningitis. (Memorial) Erected by his brother officers.

Administration of the Personal Estate of William Lewin GLYN late of Ewell in the County of Surrey a Lieutenant in Her Majesty’s Army a bachelor who died 13 August 1888 at the Island of Malta was granted at the Principal Registry 21 February 1889 to Dame Henrietta Amelia Glyn of Ewell, widow the mother and next of kin.
At rest in Ta’Baxia Cemetery, Malta.
Also, at rest in this cemetery are two of his cousins. Children of Anne Penelope Glynn, nee Clements and Colonel Richard Thomas Glyn of the 24th Regiment of Foot. (see separate entries)
