- William John WOLFE. Stoker 295922 Royal Navy on HMS Leviathan. Born 10th January 1879 at Horndean, Hampshire, enlisted 5th September 1900, occupation prior to enlistment, telegraph wireman. Died 26th October 1905 aged 26 of pneumonia at Royal Naval Hospital, Malta. His mother of Barton's Village, Newport, Isle of Wight was informed of his death on the 26th October 1905.
His stone was erected by his shipmates as a token of respect and sympathy. R.I.P.
His memorial shows his surname as Wulfe which is incorrect.
At rest in Plot B Grave 112, Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
