William James DONNAN. Private G/61958, 23rd Royal Fusiliers. (London Regiment)
Born 27 March 1898 to Hugh and Jane Donnan, nee Chermside of Kearney, Portaferry.
Killed in action at Cambrai 1 December 1917 aged 19 years. His father was granted a war gratuity 28 March 1918 revised 25 November 1919.
Commemorated on a family memorial at Ballyphilip Catholic Churchyard, Portaferry, Northern Ireland also on the Cambrai Memorial Louverval France.
