CRAIG William, Rifleman 19417, 10th Royal Irish Rifles died 16th December 1914 aged 41 at the Belfast City Hospital, Belfast.and he lived at 28, Little Grosvenor Street, Belfast . He was born at Rathfriland, County Down and he is at rest in Dundonald Cemetery, Dundonald, County Down.
Some notes from what remains of his army record. He enlisted on the 18th September 1914 aged 44. He lived with his wife, Ann, at Riverside, Antrim and he was by occupation a labourer. He had previously served with the Antrim Garrison Artillery and he was discharged by purchase after 17 years service. On the 17th May 1906 he married Miss Ann McBarney at Crumlin, County Antrim. On the 13th June 1916 he was discharged from the army due to a heart condition which was not the result of aggravated by military service, under Par 392 (XVI) Kings Regulations.
