Private 22983 William Adair Jackson. 9th Royal Irish Fusiliers.
Born about 1889 to James and Rose Ann Jackson,
1901 residing with his siblings and parents at 28 Beresford Street, Shankill, Belfast.
1911 his parents and siblings are residing at 12 Arkwright Street, Belfast.
Married 01 November 1909 at St Annes, Belfast to Edith Carmichel. His occupation, French Polisher, father, James Jackson. His residence at time of marriage, 16 Nile Street, Belfast.
Resided at 04 Arkwright Street, Belfast.
Enlisted 10 November 1915 transferred to army reserve, occupation, French polisher. Called up 23 August 1916 and posted to 10th Reserve, Royal Irish Fusiliers.
Embarked from Southampton for France 14 October 1916, disembarked France the following day. Joined the 9th Battalion at Etaples. Served on active service in France from 15 October 1916, posted to the Regimental Depot the 10th February 1919 for demobilisation the following day.
Died 07 April 1919 aged 31 years at 09 Christopher Street, Belfast of Pulmonary tuberculosis which he had for three months.
Married, occupation, army pensioner and French polisher.
At rest in Belfast City Cemetery, Northern Ireland.
