Terence GILL. Galley Boy, 137087 Merchant Navy on S.S. Larpool (Whitby)
Son of Timothy and Sarah Gill, of 54 Helendale Road, Whitby, Yorkshire. Died at sea on the sinking of his ship by U-208, 02 November 1941 aged 17. Commemorated on the Tower Hill Memorial, London.

James PURVIS. Ships Cook 132111 Merchant Navy on S,S. Stockport (Grimsby)
Native of Whitby, Yorkshire. Residing at 138 Worthinging Street, Cliff Road, Hull, Husband of Florence Winsome Purvis of 10 Albion Flats, Baxtergate, Whitby..
Died at sea on the sinking of his ship by four torpedoes fired from U-604 23 February 1943 aged 30.

Son of Henry James and Jane Smith, of Whitby. Husband of Catherine Smith, of 10 Albion Flats, Baxtergate, Whitby. Died at 114 Church Street, Whitby, Yorkshire 07 April 1942 aged 30. At rest in Larpool Cemetery, Whitby, Yorkshire.
