Message from his family for -

Walter Starkey. DJX? 06 Royal Navy on HMS Eagle 1942. Late husband of Enid Mary. His last residence was 215 Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield. Born 1918 and crossed the bar 1 June 1967, aged 48 years at The General Hospital, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. He was one of the survivors of the sinking of his ship. HMS Eagle was part of Operational Pedestal. He survived by jumping overboard.
