Born 19 May 1890 at 9 Court Street, Belfast to Son of John and Mary O'Lone, nee Spence later of Loughins, Newtownards, County Down.
He married Annie Spence 18 March 1915 at All Saints church, Belfast. He was Sergeant, Royal Irish Rifles stationed at Wellington Barracks, Dublin. Later of "Belle Vista," Ballynahinch, County Down.
His father was 17541, 2nd Master Sergeant, (Q.M.S.) Royal Irish Rifles stationed at Victoria Barracks, Belfast. Enlisted 8 October 1914 discharged 13 August 1817 due to senility.
1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 24 Bog Road, Pottinger, County Down.

Commemorated on a family headstone in Old Priory Churchyard, Holywood, opposite the cemetery, County Down, also on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium.
His brother Robert James fell at the battle of the Somme.
