- Vernon James BLACKMORE. Ordinary Seaman P/JX132096 Royal Navy on HMS Coventry. Born 25th March 1913 at Swindon Wiltshire to James Thomas and Lily Elizabeth Richman Blackmore nee Hanny. Enlisted 8th August 1928 on HMS St Vincent occupation prior to enlistment, general labourer. Died 27th April 1931 aged 18 years cerebrospinal meningitis at the Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta.
