This plaque is on the Prayer Rail Kneeler dedicated to -
Major General Valentine Blomfield C.B. D.S.O.
Colonel, The Border Regiment 1952 - 1st October1959 on amalgamation with the K.O.R.B.R.
and Colonel, The King's Own Royal Border Regiment 1959 - 1961
He was the son of Frederick Charles and Muriel who in 1901 were living at Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.
He was the husband of Gladys Edith nee Lang who he married on the 7th July 1925 at St Mary's Church, Shalford, Surrey. He was a Lieutenant with the Border Regiment
