Born 14 March 1897 to Thomas and Mary Ann Johnston, nee Murphy of The Warren Ballywalter County Down
Killed in action at Ypres 16 August 1917 aged 20 years. His father was granted a war gratuity 1 October 1918 revised 20 November 1919.
Commemorated on a family memorial in Whitechurch Graveyard, Ballywalter County Down Northern Ireland. At rest in Tyne Cot Cemetery, Belgium.
