He flew Spitfire EN199 with 81 Squadron in 1943 in Malta.
Medals donated by his widow Mary Frances to the Malta Aviation Museum on the 7th November 2010.
she passed away 21st July 2013 and both are at rest together in Saint Oswald Churchyard, Winwick, Warrington.
