Stephen Ian McKEE

Lance Corporal 25168146 Stephen Ian McKEE, D Company, 1st Royal Irish Regiment He was killed on the 9th March 2011 when during an operation to disrupt insurgent activity in the northern Dashte area of Nad Ali district his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device. He was native of Bandridge, County Down, and he was the son of Robert (Bobby) and Heather of Banbridge. He was cousin of my wife's closest friend, Sally, who lives in Perth. He had two brothers serving with the same regiment. Michael, was serving with him in Afghanistan, he flew home with him.
