Stanley Charles CHESTERMAN. Private CH/16745, Royal Marine Light Infantry Chatham Division, on HMS Yarmouth. Born 30th August 1892 at Reading, Berkshire to John and Emma, nee Field. In 1901 he was living with his parents and siblings at 13 Leopold Road, Parish of Giles, Reading. Enlisted 27th June 1910, in 1911 he was at the Royal Marine Depot, Walmer, Kent aged 18. Died 28th July 1912 aged 20 of malignant endocarditis. His mother was informed of his death 29th July 1912.
This stone was erected by the Officers, Petty Officers and men of HMS Yarmouth as a token of respect.
At rest in Plot B Grave 215, Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
