Captain Douglas Llewellyn Jones. B Coy, 6th Lincolnshire Regiment.
Born 1895 to Rev John David and Ethel Lina Maud Mary Jones, of 6, Queensway, Lincoln.
Killed in action 22 August 1917 aged 22.
Commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.

Fitter Staff Sergeant 518115 Cecil Edgar Rudd. 49th Brigade Head Quarters, Royal Field Artillery.
Born 1894 in Lincoln to Walter William and Elizabeth Rudd. 1911 with his parents and siblings at 32 Canwick Road, Lincoln.
Died 07 September 1918. At rest in Dartmoor Cemetery, Becordel-Becourt, France.

Lance Corporal 18904 Alfred James Poynter. 1st Lincolnshire Regiment.
Husband of Emma Beatrice Poynter, of 4, Watkin Street, Grimsby, Yorkshire.
Died 03 July 1916 age 25. A war gratuity granted to his widow 27 September 1916, revised 02 September 1919. At rest in Gordon Dump Cemetery, Ovilllers-La Boissell, France.

Lance Corporal 9705 Jack Warnsby. 1st Lincolnshire Regiment.
Son of Frederick and Gertrude Warnsby, of 22, Norman Street, Lincoln.
Killed in action at Kemmel , Belgium 01 November 1914 age 30. A war gratuity granted to his father 29 March 1915 revised 02 June 1919.
Commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium.

Private 8306 John Baldwin. 1st Lincolnshire Regiment.
Husband of Elizabeth Baldwin, of 1, Bridge Street, Grimsby, Yorkshire.
Killed in action 12 November 1914. A war gratuity was granted 26 July 1915 widow, revised 05 July 1919. Commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Belgium.

Private 10496 James Albert Bunn. 1st Lincolnshire Regiment.
Born 1884 to Robert and Selina Bunn. 1891 with his widowed mother and siblings at 05 Bridge End Road, Spittlegate, Lincolnshire.
1911 December Quarter he married Rose Rusling in R/D of Lincoln.
Killed in action on the 3rd day of the Battle of the Somme, July 1916. His widow was granted a war gratuity 14 October 1916 revised 01 October 1919.
Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.

Private 2534 Sidney George Inckle. 1/4th Lincolnshire Regiment.
Only son of Henry and Edna Inckle, of 11, Sincil Bank, Lincoln.
Died 26 July 1915 age 18. His mother was granted a war gratuity 11 February 1916 revised 25 August 1919. At rest in Sanctuary Wood Cemetery, Belgium.

Private 781 Harold Lane. A Coy 1/4th Lincolnshire Regiment.
Son of George and Emily Lane of Railway Cottages, Tumby Wood Side, Boston, Lincolnshire.
Killed in action 13 October 1915 age 23. His mother was granted a war gratuity 08 May 1920.
Commemorated on the Loos Memorial, France.

Possible the following. Private 3246 George Neal. 1/4th Lincolnshire Regiment.
Born 1896 in Lincoln to John and Sarah Neal. 1911 residing with his parents and siblings at 16 Great Northern Street, Lincoln.
Killed in action 13 October 1915. A war gratuity was granted to his father 21 December 1916 revised 10 October 1919. Commemorated on the Loos Memorial, France.

Private 1385 William Henry Parker. 1/4th Lincolnshire Regiment.
Brother to Fanny and Charles.
Killed in action 13 October 1915. A war gratuity was granted to his sister 30 April 1917, revised 28 June 1917. A joint gratuity was granted to Fanny and Charles 19 December 1919.
Commemorated on the Loos Memorial, France.

Private 26408 John Lawson Swannack. 7th Lincolnshire Regiment.
Born 1885 to Abraham and Eliza Swannack.
Enlisted 6th July 1916 aged 31 and 313 days. Resided at 04 Linglum Avenue, Lincoln
Married 04 October 1912 at Woodham Spa, Horncastle, Lincolnshire to Agnes Louise Houldershaw.
Wounded and died of shrapnel wounds to his abdomen 26 March 1918 aged 35. A war gratuity was granted to his sister in law Gertrude Houldershaw 18 July 1923, revised 01 August 1923.
At rest in St. Hilaire Cemetery, Frevent, France.

Private 40777 Ernest Wheatley. 6th Lincolnshire Regiment.
Died of wounds 27 November 1916. No one claimed the war gratuity. At rest in Warloy-Baillon Communal Cemetery Extension, France.

Private 1820 James Willers. 1/4th Lincolnshire Regiment.
Born 1893 in Lincoln to William and Annie Willers. 1911 residing with his parents and siblings at 55 Great Northern Terrace, Lincoln.
Killed in action 13 October 1915. His father was granted a war gratuity 13 December 1916 revised 13 September 1919. Commemorated on the Loos Memorial, France.

Private 1590 Robert Dent. 8th Lincolnshire Regiment.
Brother to Samuel, sisters, Mrs Mary Ellen Young, Sarah Ann Brought and Eliza Tennent.
Died at the battle of the Somme, between 01 July 1916 and 03 July 1916 aged 40. A joint war gratuity was granted to the above siblings 02 August 1917. His brother Samuel had a revised gratuity 03 December 1919.
Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.

Private 70090 Robert Willers. 1st Cheshire Regiment.
Born 1896 in Lincoln to William and Annie Willers. 1911 residing with his parents and siblings at 55 Great Northern Terrace, Lincoln
Husband of Edith Dorthy Kate, nee Knighton who he married September Quarter 1918 r/d of Lincoln.
Died 23 October 1918. A war gratuity was granted to his widow 02 April 1919 revised 10 December 1919,
At rest in Amerval Communal Cemetery Extension, Solesmes, France

Driver 185583 Frank Barlow. 87th Battery, 2nd Brigade Royal Field Artillery.
Killed in action 21 March 1918. His father, George was granted a war gratuity 26 August 1919.
Commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France.

Gunner186107 Richard Fairchild. "X" 24th Trench Mortar Battery, Royal Field Artillery.
Born 1897 to Richard and Elizabeth A Fairchild. 1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 65 Kingsley Street, Lincoln.
Killed in action 16 July 1917. His mother was granted a war gratuity 08 November 1917 revised 27 February 1920.
Commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium.

Trooper 2230 Alfred William S Gray. Lincolnshire Yeomanry
Born 1888 to Walter and Mary Ann Gray. 1911 with his widowed mother and siblings at 48 Great Northern Terrace, Lincoln.
He along with his unit were being transported to Gallipoli on S.S. Mercian when it was shelled by U-38 on the 03 November 1915 on the S.S. Mercian. It was not sunk, but many were killed and injured. He was aged 27. Commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Turkey (including Gallipoli)

Private 3418 Frank Horatio Horton, 15th Royal Warwickshire Regiment
Formerly Trooper 4093 Lancers.
Born 1890 in Lincoln to Joseph Smith and Betsy Ann Horton. 1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 04 Pelham Cottages, Lincoln, Pelham Street, Lincoln
Husband of Ellen Horton, nee Walker of 02, Woodland View, Arboretum Avenue, Lincoln.
Died of Wounds 30 June 1918 age 29. A war gratuity was granted to his widow 19 September 1918, revised 23 November 1918 and 24 February 1920.
At rest in Aire Communal Cemetery, France.
