WHITEFOORD Charles Blaquhan, Reverend, Chaplin, 4th Class attached to 6th Bn. London Regiment (City of London Rifles), Army Chaplins Department died 30 May 1918. Brother of Mr C B Whitefoord of 36. Broad Street, Ludlow, Salop. Commemorated on Shrewsbury Cathedral War Memorial and is buried in Bagneux British Cemetery, Gezaincourt, Somme, France. (W.P.) .He resided at at Whitton Paddocks near Ludlow Shropshire. His effects went to Caleb Alan Bryce Whitefoord, Captain with the Royal Artillery
BELLASIS, Philip Joseph, Captain, 5th Kings Shropshire Light Infantry, died 24. August 1916. Commemorated on the Shrewsbury Cathedral War Memorial and also on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France. DALGLISH, Charles Antoine De Guerry, Captain, 1st Black Watch, (Royal Highlanders) died 8th September 1914 aged 31. Son of the late J.C. Dalglish, of Wandara, Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia; husband of Carline De Burgh Dalglish (nee Purves). Buried in Sablonnieres New Communal Cemetery, France
BENNETT, William Edwin, Company Sergeant Major 5468, 7th Kings Shropshire Light Infantry, died 3rd April 1916 aged 38. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bennett; husband of Beatrice Mary Bennett, of 33, Hills Lane, Shrewsbury. Native of Coalbrookdale, Salop. After 19 years' continuous service. Buried in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium.

Buried in Ribecourt British Cemetery, Nord France (W.P) He resided at Kemps Eye Belle Vue, Shrewsbury and his effects to his wife)

Buried in Dive Copse British Cemetery, Sailly-Le-Sec, Somme, France
FOULKES, Thomas, Corporal 210335, 7th Kings Shropshire Light Infantry died 20th June 1918. Buried in Sandspits British cemetery, Fouquereul, France
WHELAN, James, Corporal, Kings Shropshire Light Infantry . It appeared that he died past the cut off date for the CWGC which is 31st August 1921. I have found his Burnt Record. He originally enlisted on the 19th February 1885 as Private 1509, Kings Shropshire Light Infantry and gave his age as 18 (c 1867) and his engagement was terminated as Pte, on the 17th February 1902. He re-enlisted 2nd June 1908 at Shrewsbury and re-joined his old regiment as Pte and gaining the rank as Corporal, army number 74. At some time he joined the Cheshire Regiment as Corporal 315562. He served in the Boer War 1900-1902 and then in the great war in India and Singapore. He was discharged no longer physically fit for was service on the 7th Janaury 1917. He gave his father a James of 25, Pike Passage Coleham, Shrewsbury. He married Sarah Hearns 20th August 1895.
His medal card shows an address for his widow at 10. Fairford Place, Coleham, Shrewsbury, but no date of death.
