On pic PZL P-37 "Los". One of Poland's most modern aircraft, the P. 37 was hampered by a policy favoring fighter production over bombers. Thus at the outbreak of the war only around 70 aircraft were available, of these only 36 were fully kitted out and operational. A further nine were quickly fitted out but these mattered little. By September 1939 26 aircraft had been lost and on the 17th of that month the remaining aircraft plus and additional 20 partially kitted out P. 37's were flown to Romania, where they were incorporated into the Romanian Air Force.
