This is just one of the many plaques around the Contemplation Garden at Kundasang War Memorial with the names of the 2,428 POWs who died at Sandakan or on the forced marches. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission website shows that these men are remembered in Singapore, but does not mention where or how they died.
