Percy Trevor Bourne of Woodbridge Villa, Dapdune Crescent Guildford lieutenant in the Royal Engineers died 18 June 1893 at Malta.
His effects went to his widowed mother.
John Christopher Joseph Fallon. 2nd Lieutenant Royal Engineers
Born 1868 in Ireland to John and Cecilia Honoria Fallon, nee Lynch.
1891 Serving in the Royal Engineers as 2nd Lieutenant aged 23 at the School of Gunnery South Shoebury, Essex.
Both were drowned 18 June 1893 by a P. and O. Steam Ship, Sutlej, which collided and sunk their yacht, Temeraire, just outside Grand Harbour, Malta whilst leisure yachting along with Lt Cecil Francis Browne Pike R.E
On 19 July 1893 a Court of Enquiry was convened into the accidental deaths by drowning of Lt Percy Trevor Bourne RE and 2nd Lt John Christopher Joseph Fallon RE on 18 June 1893. Lt Cecil Francis Browne Pike R.E was the only survivor.

A yacht has been sunk by a steamer at Malta and two officers named P BOURNE, 2nd Lieutenant, Royal Engineers and J FALLON, 2nd Lieutenant, both of the Royal Engineers, drowned whilst yachting off Valletta, 18th June 1893.
