Novis Anthony Leslie M.C

Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Leslie Novis, M.C., The Royal Leicestershire Regiment 1929 - 1954. he commanded the 1st Battalion 1944 and 1945 -1947 and the 2nd Battalion 1947 - 1948/ He was Captain, England Rugby, XV 1933. He died 2nd November 1997 aged 91. He lived at Fryern House Storrington, Sussex. On the 21st January 1936 he arrived in Plymouth from lourenco Marques Mozambique on ship "City of Hong Kong" aged 29 and an Officer in the Leicestershire Regiment. This memorial is in Leicester Cathedral
