- Emma Mary SHORT, nee May. Born 18 August 1868 in Surrey to George and Elizabeth May nee Nicholls. 1881 she was residing with her parents and siblings at 14 Church Lane, Aldershort. Died 7th May 1895 aged 25 years in Fort Chambray, Gozo near Malta. She was laid to rest in a cemetery at Fort Chambray. Wife of Corporal Michael J. Short, 2nd Battalion, Leinster Regiment. Married 1894 in the Registration district of Farnham, Hampshire.
Buried Fort Chambray Cemetery, Gozo now re-interred at Santa Maria Cemetery, Xewkija, Gozo.
