Colonel, Marmaduke RAMSAY, late Bengal Staff Corp. Son of Sir Alexander Ramsay, Bart and Elizabeth nee Maule, who died 23rd January 1893 aged 55 at 10 Strada Mezzodi, Valletta, Malta. (Born 10th March 1837) He was the husband of Anna Maria nee Innes who he married 14th April 1858
This monument is erected by the Masonic Bodies in Malta as a token of fraternal affection and regard to their late District Grand Master. Provincial Prior of the Mediterranean, etc etc etc. At rest in Ta Braxia Cemetery, Malta.

from the Service of the undermentioned Officers of Her Majesty's Indian Military Forces, one being Lieutenant-Colonel Marmaduke Ramsay, of the Bengal Staff 1st Corps. Dated 22nd October, 1882.
