- Marion Dorothy CHAPMAN. Nurse VAD. Attached to 17th General Hospital, Alexandria, Egypt.
Born 1890 to Henry and Dora Chapman, of Westoe Village, South Shields. 1901 residing with her parents at Seacroft, Harton, Cauldwell, Durham.
Joined the VAD 3 January 1917. Served in Egypt from October 1917 at 17 General Hospital, Egypt to her death, 10 August 1918 aged 27. A war gratuity was granted to her father 23 November 1918 revised 15 December 1919.
At rest in Hadra War Memorial Cemetery, Alexandria, Egypt.
