Louis ALDRED. Private 5471, Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment). Son of Aaron and Rosetta Aldred, of 169, Nottingham Road, Ilkeston. Formerly of (1901-1911) Lawn House, 23 Gregory Street, Ilkeston). He enlisted 20 November 1915 and posted to the Army Reserve to await mobilization. aged 21 years and 1 month, Residing at Lawn House, 23 Gregory Street, Ilkeston, occupation, clerk in a lace warehouse. 28 January 1916 he was mobilized to the 7th Sherwood Foresters. 29 March 1916 he was admitted 1st Eastern General Hospital, Cambridge suffering from cerebrospinal meningitis he passed away the same day aged 21 years. His father was granted a war gratuity 18 July 1916.
