Transporting an aeroplane fuselage and wings for the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) is a two-ton Lacre O Type and semi-trailer, one of just 100 used by the military.

The Lacre Motor Company was founded in London in 1902. The company is best remembered for producing road sweepers. The company continued to supply parts till the 1980s.

The company moved to Letchworth in 1910, where a street 'Lacre Way' is now named after them on a nearby industrial estate. The production grew with the Lacre O-type being the most popular model. During WWI production switched to military vehicles.
