John Samuel HORNBY. Sub Lieutenant (A) Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve on HMS Corncrake, Shore Base at Ballyhalbert, County Down (RAF and RNAS Ballyhalbert, same place) died 10th October 1945 aged 21. He was the son of Priscilla Muriel Hornby (nee Addenbrooke), and stepson of Allan Noble Campbell, of Wanganui, Wellington, New Zealand. He is at rest in St Andrews Churchyard, Ballyhalbert, County Down. Northern Ireland.
