John Ralston FITZSIMMINS (CWGC Fitzsimmons). Rifleman 2368, 13th Royal Irish Rifles.
Born 23 December 1896 of Nicholas Martin and Mary Jane Fitzsimmins, nee Sinclair of Kircubbin, Ards Peninsula, County Down, Northern Ireland.
Killed in Action on the first day of the battle of the Somme (01 July 1916) France aged 19 years.
His father was granted a war gratuity 04 September 1917 revised 13 October 1919.
Commemorated the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France, also commemorated on a family memorial at Kircubbin Presbyterian Churchyard, Ards Peninsula, County Down, Northern Ireland.
