John MERCER

Extended Description
John MERCER, 10725, aged 20 years 11 months, Private, 1st Battalion, Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders. Born at Old Kilpatrick, Dunbartonshire enlisted on the 1st February 1908 and was by occupation a boiler maker. Son of William who was granted a war gratuity along with his brothers William and Robert and sisters Agnes, Elizabeth, Isabella and Jeanie on the 16th June 1910. In 1891 aged 2 years he was living with his father, mother Elizabeth and siblings at Free Churcg Buildings, Old Kirpatrick, Scotland. In 1901 aged 11 years now at 3 Dalnotter Terrace, Main Street, Old Kilpatrick whith his parents and siblings. Died in Malta 11th March 1910. At rest in Pembroke Military Cemetery, Malta. P6/R6/G1
