Jane Simpson Annand CURRAN. Sister 236425 QAIMNSR

Born 21 June 1914 Aberdeen Scotland to James Annand and Jane Simpson Curran 11 Fraser Road, Aberdeen.

Began her training as a nurse agd 18 at Aberdeen Royal infirmary.

Killed whilst a passenger in an Avro Lancaster Bomber PA278 of 103 Squadron, Bomber Command which disappeared on the 4 October 1945 she was aged 31

She was part of 19 passengers who sat on canvas folding seats down the fuselage and a crew of 06. The plane or any of the passengers and crew were never found. The other nursing member on this flight was Senior Matron Gertrude Irene Sadler

Commemorated on the Brookwood 1939-1945 Memorial, Surrey
