HMS PHOENICIA Shore Base on Manoel Island, Malta.
Extended Description
Two Royal Navy sailors from HMS Phoenicia, Manoel Island, Malta died Sunday 19 May 1957 in a sailing accident 2 miles from Valetta Harbour. The circumstances into the accident are not known and their bodies were never found. There is not record of what type of sailing vessel they were on, or were they the only ones on the vessel.

Does anyone have any more info about HMS Phoenicia?
According to my late father's service record, he was stationed here in mid 1960, but I can't find any other information.
If anyone can point me in the direction of where to find more info, that would be amazing.
