Born 1918 to John Sheridan Cordell Bell and Sadie Cordell Bell, of Waverton, New South Wales, Australia. Authoress of the novel Stagnashan House.

Died 25 October 1942 aged 24.

By the untimely death In London, owing to enemy action, of Miss Helen Cordell Bell, Australia loses a promising young writer. Daughter of an official In the Bank of N.S.W., Sydney, she came to London just before the war to find a publisher for her 'Philosophical Fantasies.' and had been doing V.A.D. work at an officers' hospital in the south-west when she met her death. Under the name of 'Tinker Bell,' she used to give the Children's Hour over the radio in Sydney.
