Thomas L Gunner 185938 9th Division Signal Section, Royal Field Artillery died 16 October 1919. Buried at Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille, France
ALTON Thomas. Private M/282557, 623rd Motor Transport Coy, Army Service Corps, died 1st February 1917 aged 35.
Son of George and Mary Alton, of Heage, Belper; husband of Alathea M. Y. Weston (formerly Alton), of 38, Swinney Lane, Belper.
Buried in Belper Cemetery, Derbyshire
BARBER Harry. Private 200122, 1/5th Sherwood Foresters died 1st July 1916. Commemorated on the Gommecourt Wood new Cemetery, Foncquevillers, France he was the son of William and Ann who in 1911 were all residing at Heage. He was working as a loader at a coal mine
BATTY Fred. Private 200510, 1/5th Sherwood Foresters Reported missing in the field, presumed to have been killed 1st July 1916. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France. He was the husband of Sarah, nee Harper of Church Street, Heage He enlisted 4th September 1914 medical same day, aged 19 years and 11 months. He embarked Southampton 26 July 1915 Disembarked, Le Havre the next day. Fought in Rouen 23rd December 1915 and Masseville, France 9th January 1916
