Harry George Quinton. Stoker 282146 Royal Navy of HMS Ramillies.
Born 08 February 1873 at Ipswich, Suffolk to Martha Anna Maria Quinton. Is mother married John Nichols, September quarter 1885, in Ipswich.
1891 his mother and stepfather and siblings were residing at 06 Postman Street, Ipswich, Suffolk,
1891 he was with his widowed grandmother Anna M Quinton residing at 03 Postman Street, Ipswich, Suffolk, occupation, carrier.
Enlisted 06 February 1896, occupation prior to enlistment, labourer.
Deserted from the Duke of Wellington II on the 08 September 1899. Date he returned to his ship, not known. Tried by Naval Court Martial on the 26 September 1899, sentenced 90 days hard labour. He died 27 May 1902 aged 30 years of pyrexia. His widow was informed of his death on the 03 June 1902.
