Harry ALCOCK. Rifleman 6868, 3rd King’s Royal Rifles. Died 7th February 1910 aged 22 He was born at Forest Hill, occupation, labourer and enlisted on the 12th February 1906, son of Robert and Ellen Eliza of 51 Thirland Lane, Attercliffe, Shefield. Memorial erected by the Officers, Non Commissioned Officers and Riflemen of A Coy, 3rd King's Royal Rifles. At rest in Pembroke Military Cemetery, Malta.

Some notes from remains of his army records. He joined up at Winchester aged 18 and 11 months. Posted to the Depot of the Kings Royal Rifle Corps on the 12th February 1906. After his training he was posted to the 3rd Battalion on the 27th June 1906. On the 13th February 1908 he was posted to Crete and then to Malta on the 28th July 1906. His death was caused by fracture to the vault of the skull with destruction of vital brain substance as the result of a gunshot wound.
