Great War Memorial Renovation

This Memorial to soldiers of the Great War is located on Rochdale Road, Collyhurst , Manchester.
I believe the funding for its recent renovation came from the National Heritage.

I remember the state of this memorial prior to its renovation as I drove past it each day on my way to work. I always thought "How can we let that happen to such a valuable monument", it was in a real state.

No mate, not personally anway.
I know people with some of the names such as Halliwell but they dont know of any of the familiy that ever served in the Great War.
