- Gordon Thackwray ALLISON. First Radio Officer, Merchant Navy on M.V. King Lud (London), lost at sea by enemy action on the 8th June 1942 aged 22. He was the only son who was born on the 21st April 1920 to Herbert Thackwray and Florence Maud of 33, Lisburn Road, Finaghy, Belfast. He also lived at 1, Richmon Terrace, Armagh. He is commemorated on his parents memorial in Dundonald Cemetery, County Down, Northern Ireland and also on the Tower Hill Memorial, London.
