Private, 6/2140, 12th Canterbury Regiment, N.Z.E.F. killed in action in Gallipoli 14th August 1915 aged 31. Son of Thomas and Annie of Pear Tree Lake Farm, Balterley, Crewe, Cheshire. His brother George Percy also fell in 1918
Commemorated on a family memorial at Bertoline's churchyard, Barthomley, Cheshire and also on the New Zealand Memorial, Chunuk Bar, Turkey.
