Born in Southampton, son of George Alfred and Beatrice Louisa Sargent of Rose Cottage, Awre, Gloucestershire. Commemorated on a family grave in St Andrews Churchyard, Awre, Gloucestershire. At rest in Tobruk War Cemetery, Libya
