General's common grave

General George S. Patton lies in a common grave under a soldier's cross in soil that he liberated . Originally buried in the back of the U.S.Military Cemetery in Hamm, Luxemburg in the G.I. ranks close to his beloved 3rd Army Troopers. The General's was moved to the front and center of the cemetery as to spare the nearby grave's from the trampling of the thousands of pilgrims that come to see the great soldier's resting place .
