Son of Peter and Mary Furniss late of Pilsley, (Derbyshire, England). Late assistant Paymaster in the 2nd Division of her Majesty's A.W.C., Crimea at which place his amiable disposition and untiring zeal gained him many friends Died 2nd January 1857 aged 25, at Recife City, Pernambuco, Brazil and interred in the British Cemetery.
