- Frederick John FRIEND. Private, CH/14014, Royal Marines Light Infantry, HMS Abercrombie. Born 4 November 1885 at Hackney, London died 20th March 1919 aged 33 in Royal Naval Hospital, Malta from Influenza and pneumonia. Husband of Mrs. Lydia Friend, of 93 Skinner Street, Gillingham, Kent. She was informed of his death.At rest in Plot D Grave 439 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
