Frederick Francis PRICE. Born 1885 to Francis and Martha Price nee Tench. In 1901 he was living with his parents and siblings at King Street, Brosley, Shropshire. On the 17 February 1910 he married Miss Lily Mason at Hartshill parish church, Stoke on Trent. He was living with his wife and children at 741 Hartshill Road, Hartshill, Stoke on Trent, occupation, tile slabber. They had the following children. Nora, born 17 February 1911, Frederick born 8 June 1912 and Arthur 1 February 1912.

He joined the North Staffordshire Regiment on the 7th September 1914 aged 29 years and 9 months, and posted to the 8 battalion as Private 13806. His occupation prior to enlistment, tile slabber. He was living with his family at 725 Hartshill Road, Hartshill.
On the 21 November 1914 after 45 days he was discharged as not discharged not likely to be an efficient soldier. Para 392(iii)K.R.
He again enlisted on the 5 March 1915 and was posted as private 17538, Shropshire Light Infantry. Enlisted. As previously he was discharged not likely to be an efficient soldier. Para 392(iii)K.R. dated 20th March 1915. Served 16 days, he gave his next of kin as Lily of 725, Hartshill Road, Stoke on Trent.
