Born 12 SEP 1883 at Balmae, Co Kirkcudbright to Arthur Calrow and Alice Barbara Armitage, nee Morris of Kirroughtree, Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire.
1891 aged 7 years at the home of his aunt and uncle Edith Adele and Joshua Hirst Wheatley at Berkswell Hall, The Park, Berkswell Warwickshire. 1901 he was boarder at a Private school in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. 1911 aged 27, single, Lieutenant with the 1st West Yorkshire Regiment in India
Husband to Eileen Constance Rouviere Day who he married in 1915 at Lichfield, Staffordshire.

Died 22 April 1918 aged 34 at Pacaut Wood in the German offences on the Lys, France. At rest Gonnehem, France

Citation. He commanded his battalion with utmost skill and determination. Subject to heavy shellfire throughout, he remained in close touch with the enemy counter-attack and held on until relieved.
