Husband to Eileen Constance Rouviere Day who he married in 1915 at Lichfield, Staffordshire.
Died 22 April 1918 aged 34 at Pacaut Wood in the German offences on the Lys, France. At rest Gonnehem, France

Citation. He commanded his battalion with utmost skill and determination. Subject to heavy shellfire throughout, he remained in close touch with the enemy counter-attack and held on until relieved.
