George, son of Richard and Annie England nee Higgs of Above Park, Kingsley died a prisoner of war in German hands 19th April 1917 aged 20. He was Private 40347, 2nd South Staffordshire Regiment. He is commemorated on his parents memorial is the churchyard of St Werburgh, Kingsley, Staffordshire and is buried in Cambrai East Military Cemetery, France
