- E. EA. A. 643 (Sp. Mem.) Edward COCKER. Stoker 1st Class K.13247 Royal Navy on HMS Warrior. formerly Stoker S.S.108561. Born 29 March 1891 at Hulme, Manchester to William Edward and Mary Ann Cocker, nee Shaw. 1901 residing with his parents and siblings 12 Aitken Street, Levenshulme, Lancashire. Husband of Concetta F.P. (Conceptua) Cocker, nee Frendo residing at Kalkara, Malta. Enlisted 8 May 1909 on HMS Vivid II, Number SS.108561, Stoker 2nd Class. Civilian occupation, warehouse porter. His last ship prior to transfer 10 November 1911 was HMS Orontes. His new record shows that on the 11th he was still on HMS Orontes as Stoker 1st Class K13247. Died in Malta 22 July 1915 aged 25 years. Of Manchester England. A great loss to his family not forgotten by his son William.
His wife died at Cospicua. At rest possible in Addolorata Cemetery. likewise his son William Carmel Louis Cocker. Died 1990 at Paola, Malta.
