Edith WOOD. Daughter of Maria Anna Abela and William Henry Wood. Signalman 102365, Royal Navy. Died 20 June 1899 aged 4 years and 6 months. Her father died 1908 at Floriana, Malta, her mother, also died Floriana, no death date.

Additional information on her father William Henry Wood. Born 1861 to Elizabeth and Charles Henry Wood served in the 53rd Regiment of Foot.

Born 23 September 1861 at Devonport, Devon. Enlisted 10 October 1977 as Boy 2nd Class on HMS St Vincent. Promoted to Boy 1st Class, Signals 13 November 1878. Signalman 3rd class on HMS Blanche, 23 September. Signalman 2nd Class on HMS Duke of Wellington 29 November 1881. He bought himself of the navy for 12 pounds in Malta 15 November 1886, last ship was HMS Condor.
