E004 Arthur David Curtis MILLAR, Major, Indian Army. Died 17th December 1942 aged 38 years. Son of Sarah Millar of Crieff, Perthshire.
At rest in Capuccini (Kalkara) Naval Cemetery, Malta Plot E Grave 04.

Plane Crash 17 December 1942. Halifax II. DT542 NF-Q 138 Squadron -

The plane took off from RAF Luqa to the United Kingdom but then turned back due to engine problems and crashed east of Zejtun, Malta at 04.05 hours whilst attempting to land. Some reports state that it crashed just as the aircraft became airborne.
